MPAC - Polymer and Complex Fluids

The Polymer and Complex Fluids Group at the Colorado School of Mines combines expertise in the areas of flow and field based transport, intelligent design and synthesis as well as nanomaterials and nanotechnology. The faculty of the Polymer and Complex Fluids Group hold appointments in the Department of Chemistry and Geochemistry and Department of Chemical Engineering. A wide range of research tools employed by the group includes characterization using rheology, scattering, microfluidics and field flow fractionation (FFF), synthesis of novel branched macromolecules and polymer brushes as well as theory and simulation involving molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo approaches.
